TransARTlantic Eksperimentum is located in the lovely Andalusian village of Capileira Spain nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains 1600 meters above sea level.  The ancient Moorish town with its white houses, flat roofs, and cairn like chimneys is a true architectural gem.  Capileira sits as the highest and most northerly of the three villages [Capileira, Bubion, Pampaneira] in the Barranco de Poqueria, on the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula – Mulhacen, inside the Sierra Nevada National Park, all which hold the prestigious "Bonitas de Espana" award for Beauty.

 

It is in this beautiful and truly inspiring landscape offering an abundance of artistic subjects that Artist Maureen Sheldon and husband Eric Lorentzon have continued the tradition of the property’s former owners, Henrik Bøegh & Åse Højer, in offering workshops in the Arts and Culture.

Artwork in textile format!  

The silk scarves in this collection are all created from original forms of my Artwork.  I work across many art forms and mediums, the square scarf is a perfect vehicle for combining the originals into something new again! And, certainly very original...  whether the design is ephemeral in nature [frozen ice], sculpture, painting, printmaking, or photographic, the end design and composition creates a totally new piece of Art, totally rare and totally unique.

 

Scarves are very flexible and are not just to wear.  There are many possibilities for wearing and combining into an outfit.  My use is more utilitarian, living in a winter climate, a sailor, mountaineering, and travel, I always have a silk scarf available.  They are light, packable, and flexible in use, perfect for travel. 

 

They are simply outstanding framed for the wall!

Duvets, Pillow Shams, and Pillow Sleeves

Duvets, Pillow Shams, and Pillow Sleeves

Duvets:  The Duvet Line is a boutique product. The Duvets are manufactured to order. Delivery time is approximately 4 weeks. They are manufactured in North America, they are made from a lovely cotton sateen, zipper enclosure, generous sizing.  All made in North America, including the cotton crop and processing.  The back of your duvet cover will be white and finished with a white invisible zipper.
Each Duvet purchase includes a set of cotton sateen pillow sleeves, King will provide King sleeves.
OEKO-TEX® Certified: With the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® label. 
 
Pillow Sleeves:  Pillow Sleeves have a design on both sides and are available in 2 sizes and 2 fabrics.  Standard Size is 21" x 27".  King Size is 21" x 37".  The fabrics are a Cotton Sateen and a 14 Momme Mulberry Silk Twill.
 
Pillow Shams:  Pillow Shams have a design on the front and the backside is white with an opening.  They are available in 2 sizes and 2 fabrics.  Standard Size is 21" x 27".  King Size is 21" x 37".  The fabrics are a Cotton Sateen and a 14 Momme Mulberry Silk Twill.
Please note that there is a slight different imagery for each product size.
